Is College Vital for Success?

 Lets see whether or not a college education is mandatory in order to achieve success in life.

The short answer is No..But its much more complicated than that. College in the 21st century is very important but also very, very expensive. The US student loan debt is in the trillions. Hundreds of thousands of college grads are unemployed or employed in fields they didn't study.
So this leads me to realize that college is NOT a vital part of success, but EDUCATION is. There is a big difference between college and education.

First off just because someone attends or attended college doesn't mean they've learned anything, besides cheat on tests. There are many non-college educated people are there who are much smarter than the average college graduate. Unfortunately many employers don't see it this way. For most jobs nowadays if you don't have a college diploma, they won't even bother looking at your resume. You might be the smartest person in the world and you might be the perfect fit for the job but without a piece paper inside a fancy plaque stating that, your chances of getting a high paying job are pretty slim.

So this is why its very important to seek a college education if you want to have a decent job later, sure a college diploma doesn't automatically guarantee a job but it surely increases your chances by a lot.
Furthermore, for us entrepreneurs, self education is the best way. As an entrepreneur college is basically useless for you, as the best education an entrepreneur can get is being hands on in the streets. Remember to read books constantly, this is the only way to grow as a person and extend your knowledge.
